Your Soul Shining
Hey, welcome back to the blog!
Now, for more on love, life, death, and the songs on the album…

If Postmodern Love is about being infused with the power of love, then why the tinge of pain and angst in some songs? Take, “Soul Shining,” (listen here) for example –
This is your soul shining
This is your final hour
This is your soul shining
Use the power!
Well, in my experience, it’s because the power of love is somewhat beyond your control; you may not get to choose exactly who or what it is you love. It just happens that one day there’s something really on the line, which banks on you being genuinely content and inspired…
This is your soul shining
…so you drop the lines, and go with what you’ve got – what really does it for you, right now. And boy, that can feel painful for me, and I don’t think I’m the only one. I’ve never died, but it might feel like…
This is your own death
…because you’re letting go…
This is your soul shining
This is your first breath!
Then you see! You don’t have to pretend. You can take a deep breath; walls fall between you and those you love. You’re just here to love!
Whatever it is you thought you couldn’t live without, you’re never without love. Whatever you died letting go of, there is life after death. And since you get another chance, what do you most want to do?
This is your first breath
Go on and shine
Your first breath
Your heart’s open wide
Namaste,
Parzival
