Fast Times – Day 3 Update – Remembering
The thing about fasting is, you get a little bit of that “live like you were dying” point of view – take nothing for granted, remember what is really most important to you, express your truest feelings, bring what you most want to see in to the world each day.
the Day 3 fast experience…
Integrated oranges today. Pomello worked for a while, then needed more calories.
Lower energy at points in the day – you really gotta keep it simple on a fast. Simple is the goal of the fast, though. Remembering the basics. What am I here to do? How can I best do it? (And you know, have fun with it!
I’ve decided to end the fast this Friday, after five days. That was the original plan. Then when it came time to start the fast, I felt like Superman, and said “why not a week!?”
When it comes to feeding yourself, though, go with your gut!
remembering…
Maybe you experience this differently, or maybe you’re like me: when I get a key insight, I feel like I’m remembering. Remembering what I really want, and what makes me and those around me happiest.
Today I’m remembering that when I’m with someone, I want them to choose for themselves. We can totally talk about what we both think, and what we both like. But trying to convince someone about what they should like, or buy, is not a pleasant experience for me! I want to create interactions where we are both at ease!
selling like dancing…
That sounds nice…ask the person to dance, listen, put your partner at ease, lead clearly, have fun!
So yeah, I’ve been seeking insight about how to sell my art – how to make a living. So far as an artist it’s been a challenge to make a strong sell – for new people to come to shows, for someone I meet to buy a CD from me. Still, if it’s gonna be fun…if someones wants to discover new music anyway…if I know my music can inspire them…then why not ask them to dance?! I can dig that.
So, I’m remembering. And what I’m remembering most clearly is my soul family. Whether we’re just meeting, or we’ve known each other for years – if we are open to genuine moments of mutual recognition, if we wish to express ourselves in love and beauty, if we wish the best for each other…then we are soul family.
Lots of love,
Parzival
