Fast Times – Day 2 Update – Think Globally, Dance Locally
Hey all, second day on the pomello/citrus fast has been a trip. I’m keeping my feet on the ground, an eye on the events of the world, and an eye on the prize – clearer perspective on my next steps as an artist. (Which may include “chilling out.”)
first, The Day 2 fast experience…
Man, I would love to have a meal with my friends! Sit down, talk, enjoy well-prepared food. Mmmm…
In the meantime, I’m making sure to get the minimum 800 calories/day, drinking lots of water, and staying warm and productive. Keeping it simple has helped – take one task at a time, don’t stress.
Also, I’ve stopped wanting pomello altogether (big surprise!). If the desire doesn’t return by tomorrow, then I’m going to integrate oranges, which sound delish.
Seeking perspective…
How can we help each other the most? How can we have the most fun together?
Looking at my friends, and the people I’ve gotten to know through my shows, my facebook page and my mailing list, it seems like acoustic shows work well. We’re going for depth of connection, not just loudness, right? Also, dancing works well! Helps to have a band for that, though…
What do you like? What size show do you enjoy? In what venues have you had great music experiences? Leave a comment or send a message and let me know! Holla atcha boy, as they say
Think globally, dance locally…
So what do world events say about the needs of the moment? Well, judging by the picture at top, people want to sing at the top of their lungs. They also want revolution of some kind – they want to be free. Well, if we can’t fly over there and help them be free, we can at least show them how to use-us some freedom – dance!
Ok, food soonish…
With love!
